Rewards From Teaching Good Deeds to Others

teaching good

Teach your children to read Quran, to do prayer, and other good deeds. Every time your children do those deeds, you will also get the rewards, inshaAllah.

In a hadith from ‘Oqbah ibn ‘Amr Al-Ansari (may Allah blesses him), that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) says,

من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله‏

“Whoever guides someone to virtue will be rewarded equivalent to him who practices that good action” [Saheeh Muslim].

Whoever points others to a good deed, then he has the reward of that act. And, he also has a reward that is similar to the reward of the doer. But this does not mean that he attains the reward 100% similiar like the doer in all respects.

The scholars says, of course the doer has bigger rewards. But sometimes, they got similar rewards. And sometimes, the pointer gets bigger rewards, based on their intention and sincerity.
