A good Muslim uses his total awareness, and learns from his mistakes. So, he doesn’t fall again into the same mistake.
A hadith from Abu Hurairah (may Allah blesses him), that the Prophet (ﷺ) says:
لاَ يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ
“A believer should not be stung twice from the same hole” [al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Noble Shaikh Ibn Baz explains this hadits:
“The believer should take care if a person bites from a burrow, he takes his caution. For example, if Zaid deceives him once, he should be on guard so Zaid can’t deceive him again. A Muslim should stay away from a person who have deceived him or endangered him at the past”.
So, be aware, and learn from our mistakes.
