Do not prejudice against other people, while there is still a possibility to give a good possibilities. Try to make any good excuses for your brother.
Ibn Umar (may Allah blesses him) says,
“Do not be prejudiced against the words that is said by your brother, while you still find other possibilities that he is in goodness”.
Al-Bayhaqi reported that Hamdun al-Qassar (may Allah have mercy on him) says,
“If one of your brothers commits an error, seek seventy excuses for him. If your hearts do not accept it, know that the fault is with yourselves” [Shu’ab al-Iman].
Think positively to your brother. Be patient to advise him.
