Allah decreed that wine haram (forbidden) for anyone, and silk should not be used by men. And, anyone who obeys this provisions, will get a beautiful reward in the hereafter.
A hadith from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah blesses him), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ says,
“Whoever abandons wine-drinking although he could drink it, he will be given drink within the holy sanctuary. Whoever abandons wearing silk although he could wear it, he will be clothed within the holy sanctuary” [Musnad al-Bazzar. Al-Albani says that this hadith is sahih li gayrihi].
FYI, silk is only forbidden for men. So, women can use silk. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ says,
“Gold and silk were allowed for women of my people. And, they both were forbidden for men” [An Nasa’i. Al Albani says that this hadith is sahih].
We believe that all Allah ordained must contain goodness for us. So let’s leave wine and don’t wear silk for men.
