Do not take an addition in the loan over your capital, even if it is less. It is riba (usury). Riba is prohibited in Islam. And usury is a big sin in Islam, because it is injustice towards others.
Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an,
“O you who have believed, do not consume riba (usury), doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful” [Ali Imran, 3: 130].
“Do not take an addition in the loan over your capital, even if it is less. Then how if this addition doubles when the time for repayment of the debt comes? And fear God to abide by his law To win in this world and the hereafter” [Tafseer Moyassar].
