Our father indeed has a great merit to us. He cares for us, sustains us, gives us proper education, teaches us how to live, and more countless efforts for us. We should repay they efforts with caring them well.
But actually we can’t truly repay our father. No matter how hard we try, still their efforts way over the repay.
A hadith from Abu Hurairah (may Allah blesses him), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ says:
لاَ يَجْزِي وَلَدٌ وَالِدَهُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَجِدَهُ مَمْلُوكًا فَيَشْتَرِيَهُ فَيُعْتِقَهُ
“No child can compensate his father unless he finds him as a slave, buys him, and sets him free” [Saheeh Muslim].
So, behave to your father. Care him in good way. Always remember such a big sacrifice that he did for you…
