The Prophet (ﷺ) teaches us what to say if we want to refuge from all disease. This du’a will we very useful in the middle of this coronavirus pandemic.
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الأَسْقَامِ
❝O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis, and evil diseases.❞ [Sunan Abi Dawud, classed as Saheeh by al-Albani].
Also, he used to say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ، وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ، وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ، وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ
“O Allah, I seek refuge to You from the withdrawal of pleasure. I seek refuge to You, for the sudden change of my health, also from the sudden wrath. Also from every displeasure from You” [Muslim].
