If someone truly loves Allah, then he should prove it by following the Prophet’s teaching.
Allah ﷻ says,
❝Say, (O Muhammad), ‘If you should love Allah, then follow me, (so) Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.’❞ [Ali Imran 3:31].
A person can’t be a saleeh (good) person if he performs any deeds not in the Prophet’s teaching. Because the Prophet already taught us all good deeds that make us get closer to Allah.
Following the Prophet’s teaching is one of the conditions for deeds to be acceptable. So always remember how the Prophet taught us.
