True wealth and richness is in the heart and true poverty is in the heart. It’s not about money or gold you have!
A hadith from Abu Dharr, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
❝O Abu Dharr, do you say an abundance of possessions is wealth?❞ I said yes. The Prophet ﷺ said, ❝Do you say a lack of possessions is poverty?❞ I said yes. The Prophet ﷺ repeats this three times, then he said, ❝True wealth is in the heart and true poverty is in the heart. Whoever is wealthy in his heart will not be harmed no matter what happens in the world. Everyone who has poverty in his heart, will never feel the satisfaction, no matter how much he has in the world. Verily, the greed will always harms his own soul.❞[Narrated by At Tabarani in al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, classed as Saheeh by al-Albani].
So the true richness is the richness of our heart. Lets make our heart rich by always worshipping only Allah and obey His commands and keep away from Allah’s prohibition.
